Wienerwald Readiness Studio

Wienerwald Readiness Studio works with Austrian federal and state agencies, municipal utilities and the public-sector IT providers that serve them, alongside a smaller number of private companies, on preparing for the EU AI Act and ISO/IEC 42001. Public bodies face deployer obligations under the Act for systems they buy rather than build, so much of the studio's work is about procurement: establishing what an agency already runs, classifying it, and setting up the fundamental-rights impact assessments and registration steps the Act requires. Gap analyses and readiness assessments are fixed-price projects of four to ten weeks, usually within the five to fifteen thousand dollar band for a single agency or business unit. Agencies that want continuing support afterwards can take a light retainer, under five thousand dollars a month, covering a monthly review, answers to questions as they arise and template updates when guidance changes. Training is delivered as half-day sessions for procurement, legal and IT staff. The five-person team works from Vienna and on site in Austria and southern Germany, in German or English. Legal opinions, certification audits and the building of AI systems are all outside the studio's remit.
