About

Gansevoort Bias Review is the practice of a single independent auditor who performs the annual bias audits that New York City's Local Law 144 requires of employers and vendors using automated employment decision tools. The auditor, Priya Raghunathan, holds the IAPP AIGP and spent eight years building selection models for staffing platforms before moving to the audit side in 2022. A standard engagement covers one tool: she requests historical selection data in a fixed template, computes impact ratios by sex, race and ethnicity and the intersectional categories, and returns a summary that can be posted on the employer's website within about three weeks of receiving clean data. Fixed-fee audits for a single tool sit under five thousand dollars; multi-tool or multi-employer vendor audits are quoted separately. She also maps the same evidence onto Illinois HB 3773 and the Colorado AI Act impact assessment requirements for clients that operate in more than one state, and uses the NIST AI RMF as the reference structure for those write-ups. She does not build or remediate models, does not provide legal opinions on whether a tool is in scope, and works entirely remotely from Manhattan.
