Fogline Systems Assurance is a fully remote consultancy of about thirty people, registered in San Francisco, that builds AI management systems for fintech and medical technology companies whose products are sold in both the United States and the European Union. The firm's engagements are larger than most in this directory because its clients tend to have several AI systems already in production and existing SOC 2 obligations that need to be reconciled with ISO/IEC 42001 rather than duplicated. A gap analysis runs between fifteen and fifty thousand dollars and takes six to eight weeks; it maps each system to its EU AI Act risk classification, identifies which conformity assessment route applies, and lays the NIST AI RMF functions over the client's current control evidence. Implementation projects follow for six to twelve months and are staffed by a project lead, a technical writer and one engineer who works inside the client's repositories on logging, evaluation and documentation. Retainers between fifteen and thirty thousand dollars a month cover ongoing conformity work and audit support once the system is live. Fogline does not certify, does not act as a notified body and will not prepare EU technical documentation for systems it has not assessed itself. Staff are spread across US time zones with two consultants in Ireland.
