Beacon Row Governance

Beacon Row Governance is the practice of Siobhan McAllister, a former chief privacy officer at a Boston health data company who now serves as a fractional AI governance lead for two or three clients at a time. Her clients are typically Series B to Series D companies, most of them in medical technology or clinical software, that have been told by a customer, an investor or a regulator that they need someone accountable for AI risk but cannot yet justify a full-time hire. The arrangement is a monthly retainer, between fifteen and thirty thousand dollars depending on the number of days committed, with a minimum term of six months. In that time she stands up the governance committee, writes the policy set against ISO/IEC 42001, maintains the AI system inventory, prepares the EU AI Act and Colorado AI Act impact assessments and represents the company in customer audits and due diligence. She works entirely remotely and attends board meetings by video. She does not take on implementation engineering, does not produce bias audits and does not accept more than three concurrent clients, so availability is often the deciding factor. Readiness assessments ahead of a certification audit are offered only to existing retainer clients.
