Pennine Ridge Certification audits AI management systems against ISO/IEC 42001 from its Manchester office, with a particular concentration of clients in healthcare software, diagnostics and medical device manufacturers who need their AI governance to sit alongside ISO 13485 and clinical safety obligations. The body holds accreditation for the standard and employs a pool of lead auditors, several of whom have prior experience as clinical safety officers or hospital information governance leads. In addition to formal certification audits, Pennine Ridge offers a structured readiness assessment: a two-day documented review, delivered remotely or on site, that identifies where a management system would fail a stage 1 and leaves the client with a findings report they can work through independently. The readiness work is deliberately staffed separately from the audit team to preserve impartiality. Fees are quoted per engagement after scoping and are not published. The body does not implement, write policies, or recommend individual consultants, and it declines to audit organisations where it has delivered readiness work within the previous twelve months.
