Duinrand Fractional Governance

Duinrand Fractional Governance is the practice of a single practitioner in The Hague who acts as a part-time head of AI governance for fintech and payments companies too small to hire one full time. A standard arrangement is two days a week for a minimum of six months, on a monthly retainer between five and fifteen thousand dollars depending on the number of days. In that period she stands up the operating model: an AI inventory, a risk classification procedure aligned with the EU AI Act, a policy set that maps to ISO/IEC 42001 and the NIST AI RMF, and a reporting cadence to the board or risk committee. She chairs the client's AI review board while it finds its feet and hands it over once internal owners are ready to run it. Readiness assessments and policy drafting are also available as short standalone pieces of work, though most clients fold them into the retainer. The work is fully remote, with clients across the EU and the United Kingdom, conducted in English, Dutch or German. She does not give legal opinions, does not audit for certification, and declines engagements where she would be the only person accountable for compliance outcomes.
