LRQA is a global assurance and certification business headquartered in Birmingham, UK, with a client base its site puts at more than 61,000 organisations across over 150 countries. The relevant engagement trigger here is an organisation that has built an ISO/IEC 42001 AI management system and needs an accredited third party to certify it: LRQA holds UKAS accreditation for ISO/IEC 42001, announced in February 2026 and confirmed on the UKAS AIMS register as accreditation number 0001. Certification follows the standard accredited route: clients may begin with an optional gap analysis before the formal stage-one and stage-two assessments, and organisations already certified to ISO 27001 or other management system standards can have several standards assessed in combined visits.
