TÜV NORD is a Hannover-headquartered testing, inspection and certification group whose Certification business unit audits management systems against ISO/IEC 42001. In February 2026 the group announced accreditation for AI management system certification from two national accreditation bodies at once: UKAS in the United Kingdom, held through TUV UK Limited (accreditation no. 0065, listed in the UKAS AIMS category), and the Dutch Raad voor Accreditatie. Engagements follow the accredited certification cycle the UK arm describes: a stage 1 assessment of how the management system is designed and documented, a stage 2 audit of whether it works in practice, then surveillance audits and periodic recertification. The UK subsidiary also certifies ISO 27001, ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001 and TISAX, so an ISO 42001 audit can be added to an existing certification programme. As an accredited certification body it certifies rather than consults; organisations that need implementation support must engage a separate adviser. The group reports roughly 15,500 employees across more than 50 locations, and its announcement describes the ISO/IEC 42001 service as available worldwide.
