MSECB, legally MSECB Management Systems Inc., is a certification body headquartered in Laval, Quebec, whose work is the accredited third-party audit itself rather than consulting: it reviews documentation, audits the management system against the standard, and issues a certificate when conformity is verified. The firm is accredited by the International Accreditation Service (IAS) against ISO/IEC 17021-1, and the published IAS certificate MSCB-111 lists ISO/IEC 42001:2023 within the accredited scope; MSECB announced the AI management system accreditation in January 2025. The typical engagement therefore starts once an organization has already implemented its AIMS, often with an outside implementer, and wants the accredited certificate an enterprise customer or regulator will recognize. Alongside ISO 42001, MSECB certifies against ISO/IEC 27001, ISO/IEC 27701 and a range of quality, continuity and governance standards, so a company pursuing combined information-security and AI-governance certification can keep both audits with one certification body. The company formerly operated as PECB MS and rebranded in February 2022 to separate organizational certification from PECB's individual training business. It runs from the Quebec headquarters with regional offices in Wilmington, Delaware, and Jakarta, and states that it serves clients in more than seventy countries. Pricing is by quotation only.
